Love who you are.

Recently I've been reading a lot of articles about "plus sized" models as well as critiques on "straight models". It seems as though the world is putting far too much emphasizes on peoples size, and I don't mean just being skinny.

I've struggled with weight since I gave up gymnastics and wasn't stick thin anymore (about the same time as puberty, 14). I got hips, boobs, a butt and that was scary. It's sad that young girls have no one to turn to about these issues, or none that are pertinent anyways. I just wanted to voice my opinion. Losing weight/gaining will mean nothing to you if you aren't making a change within yourself.

You may be superficially happy, but unless you understand why/who/what your doing it all for you'll never be happy, at least in my experience. I recently got up the courage to go and model. I am not a perfect size 00, nor would I ever want to be. I have learned to love myself, and I hope that you can too. Inside and out.

Meghan.

I am who I am
